Diego is the founding partner of Blanco Carrillo, S.C. and is a lawyer with sound experience in big law firms. He has advised national and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, impact investment, real estate, structured debt, including securitizations, transactions, and matters related to general corporate law, legal structure definitions, and legal management. His main clients are in various sectors, such as health, real estate, retail, financial services, venture capital, and digital media.

Diego is a member of a network of lawyers known as “Abogados B para el Mundo” promoted by Sistema B, whose purpose is to redefine the sense of success through the market (private initiative), seeking results that consider in addition to financial success, social impact and care for the environment. He was recently invited by the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, as one of the Mexican leaders, to participate in the “Transcending Borders” forum, with the purpose of reflecting, from his profession and practice, on the various ways in which he can contribute to generate a positive impact on society and improve the environment.

Partner

Hernando is a partner at Blanco Carrillo, S.C. and has over 20 years of professional experience. He has focused his legal practice on domestic and international M&A and structured finance transactions. During such period, he has represented a wide range of companies and funds in their investments in Mexico, and in diverse sectors of the Mexican economy. Hernando has also represented different participants in infrastructure projects in Mexico, including developers, sponsors and banks. In addition, he advises his clients in the day to day of their investments in Mexico.

His professional experience includes working as partner at Pérez Llorca González Calvillo (México), as international associate in the New York office of Milbank, LLP, and as an associate at Ritch, Mueller y Nicolau, S.C.

He obtained his law degree (J.D. equivalent) at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and has a Master of Laws (LL.M.) by the University of Texas at Austin. Hernando is admitted to practice law in Mexico and Nueva York.

Associate

Miguel joined the firm in 2013. He has experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, impact investment, real estate and matters related to general corporate law in Mexico. Similarly, he has coordinated and conducted legal due diligence, and negotiated and elaborated different types of agreements and corporate documentation, including without limitation, purchase agreements, shareholders agreements, subscription agreements, by-laws, shareholders meeting minutes, credit agreements, trust agreements and service agreements, among other documentation. Miguel is also part of a network of lawyers known as “Abogados B para el Mundo” promoted by Sistema B, whose purpose is to redefine the sense of success through the market (private initiative), seeking results that consider in addition to financial success, social impact and care for the environment. He is very active in his “pro-bono” practice to help achieve the purpose of the law firm and has recently collaborated in the definition of strategies so that various civil associations obtain their non-profit organization status.
